MISSOULA – Two children’s charities in Missoula are in need of renovations.

Dragon’s Hollow, the playground close to A Carousel for Missoula, and the Missoula Community Theater, got a payday on Friday.

The Missoula Building Industry Association donated $10,000 to each organization.

The dragon home is trying to keep up with foot traffic and wants to add play stations for children with disabilities. The Save the Dragon campaign is underway, with an estimated $290,000 cost to rebuild and upgrade the playground.

MCT plans to soundproof the community room and purchase a scissor lift, along with a couple of smaller projects.

Local businesses donated more than $50,000 to MBIA and the Missoula Organization of Realtors at last year’s annual charity auction.
