MISSOULA – The University of Montana’s University Center celebrated its 50th birthday on Wednesday.
Games, art tours, a raffle, and free food were available throughout the day and the Game Room hosted a pizza party. The celebration closed out with a showing of Wonder Woman in the third floor University Center Theater.
UC Special Projects and Events Coordinator Karen Schlatter told MTN News it’s a great opportunity to showcase the growth of the facility over the last five decades.
“There’s historical displays everywhere. The historical displays have different themes, for instance, The Building Then and Now, so we’re excited to showcase what happened in the past and what’s happening potentially in the future,” Schlatter said.
She also is encouraging students to check out the new Student Group Resource Center in the UC.
