MISSOULA – Unless there’s an unexpected development, we should know Thursday night who’ll be taking over the key administrative position for Missoula County Public Schools.

Trustees have spent the day getting to know the three candidates to replace Superintendent Mark Thane, who’s retiring at the end of this school year.

At a “meet and greet” late Thursday afternoon, teachers, other MCPS staff and the public were given a chance to meet the three finalists, Dr. Robert Watson, who’s currently Superintendent for Bozeman Public Schools, Jan Haven, a Director of Instructional Leadership for Milwaukee Public Schools and Dr. David Baugh, who is a Superintendent of Public Schools for the Centennial School District in Warminster, Pennsylvania.

Trustees already interviewed the finalists this morning, and will meet at 8 p.m. Thursday with expectations they’ll name their final selection.
