MISSOULA – Construction on several road projects is continuing in Missoula with yet another set to begin.

Crews are making progress on the Van Buren Street construction site with Knife River landscaping and seeding in the off-road areas.

While this will not impact travel, but the city is reminding people that workers and equipment are still in the area. Workers will also repair some areas of sidewalk and do a final chip seal on the roads.

The whole project is expected to be completed in July.

The Missoula Street Division is helping out state transportation officials with a project that began on Stephens Avenue on Monday.

Street Division crews will begin milling and paving the driving lanes on Stephens between South Sixth Street West and Mount Avenue.

The project is projected to take three to four weeks to complete and aims to eliminate potholes and ruts in the road.

Crews hope to keep one lane open at all times, but there may be short intermittent detours.

Traffic will move more slowly than usual, so make sure you plan if this stretch of road is included in your daily commute.
