MISSOULA — Some parents are making plans for a COVID-safe Halloween.

406 Families in Missoula has set up a scavenger hunt for kids.

They decided to create a spider hunt.

On their website, you can print off spiders, to place in your windows of your house, to participate in the fun.

Laci Rathbun is one of the founders of the organization, and wanted to create clever way for kids who still want to dress up for the holiday.

“So we didn’t know how comfortable we Would be or what COVID cases would be like in town and so we were trying to think if we were comfortable trick or treating or if there was something else that we could do that still gave us an excuse to dress up in costumes and go look at Halloween decorations," said Rathbun.

Rathbun is also looking for businesses to team up with this event to create prizes for whomever finds the most spiders in town.

You can download your own spider and take a look at the map with all the other spiders in town here.
