MISSOULA — People looking for a place to do your Halloween trick-or-treating can add the Southgate Mall to the list of options.

The mall has worked closely with the Missoula City-County Health Department to come up with a socially distant, safe way to get Halloween treats.

The Southgate Mall Candy Crawl will be held in what was formerly Lucky’s Market.

Trick-or-treaters will enter through the Brooks entrance, follow the path, and exit into the mall. Kids and adults alike are encouraged to dress up in their favorite costumes and join in the fun.

“We’ll be letting in families, family groups come in one at a time," said Mall Marketing Director Lauren Poppen. "They can trick-or-treat from booth to booth and new this year we’re debuting contactless trick-or-treating so they’ll receive their candy without having to touch hands or touch anybody else.”

The Southgate Mall Candy Crawl will take place from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Halloween Day, and masks are required to enter.
