Fast moving wildfire in Pattee Canyon

The Lolo National Forest reports the fire is located 3 miles southeast of the Crazy Canyon Trailhead and 2.5 miles north of Miller Peak on the Missoula Ranger District.

Multiple ground resources are on the scene of the fire, which is currently estimated at 30 acres.

The cause of the fire remains unknown as of this report.

Forest officials say they will provide additional information as it becomes available.

The Missoula County Sheriff's office says no evacuation warnings or orders have been issued at this time.

The Missoula Sheriff asks residents in that area to monitor their Facebook page for updates.

The DNRC reports the Larch Camp Incident has grown to 30 acres on Pattee Canyon.

Still no word on the cause of the fire.

First Report:

A wildfire sparked late Friday evening in the Pattee Canyon area.

Numerous fire agencies responded to the call just before 9:00 p.m.

There is no word on the cause of the fire, but as of 10:00 p.m. the DNRC Interactive report shows the fire is estimated at 10 acres.

Flames and smoke are visible from across the Missoula Valley.
