MISSOULA — The staff at the Missoula International Airport is celebrating after a recent FAA inspection resulted in a perfect score.

The inspection looked at several things including signage clarity, the conditions of ground markings, and the quality and presence of proper equipment.

Missoula International Airport director Cris Jensen says they have always received great scores but it is rare to receive a perfect one. He told MTN News that the inspection score is a good sign for travelers.

"What it means is that they can feel confident that when they come to the Missoula International Airport -- that it's safe, its efficient, that our staff is highly trained and is going to do a good job taking care of us amongst the best in the country," he said.

He added they have to thank the staff at the Kalispell airport for their help and prior to the evaluation, they visited each others facilities and performed mock-inspections.
