MISSOULA — A Missoula man is dead due to injuries sustained from a motorcycle accident Monday afternoon in the area of Cregg Lane and Hickory Street.
The Missoula Police Department received multiple reports of a motorcycle accident in the area and when law enforcement arrived it appeared as if the vehicle had struck a light pole.
A citizen at the scene was attempting to perform CPR on the victim but the 63-year-old succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead on the scene.
MPD and the Montana Highway Patrol are investigating the accident.
Investigators do say that witness reports point to speed being a factor.
