MISSOULA — The Missoula Education Foundation (MEF) rewarded a teacher with $1,000 at Washington Middle School on Friday.
Partnering with Stockman Bank and the Student MEF booard, The MEF voted eighth grade English Language Arts and Social Studies teacher Molly Norton the 2020 Middle School Educator of the year.
Norton says she is still not sure what she will use her money for but has a few ideas to help benefit her and her students.
"We could always use more Chromebooks for writing projects. I grade 120 papers whenever I assign anything,” Norton said.
“And reading student handwriting can be quite the challenge," she added. "Anytime they can type papers instead of write is always great."
