GREAT FALLS – The National Native American Hall of Fame is in its early stages and is still without a place to call home.

But the dream that was born in Great Falls is catching the attention of native people all across the country.

The Hall of Fame celebrated its first class of honorees in October with 12 Native American men and women inducted — including Montana’s own Elouise Cobell.

Hall of Fame staff are already working to select the next class of inductees.

They are also working to educate and create traveling exhibits, all while working on the long-term goal of finding the Hall of Fame’s forever home.

Although staff members say it will be “a long process,” they continue working tirelessly to architect a place where all native people can reflect on the greatest among them.
