HELENA – The Governor’s Advisory Council on Aging is hosting a public meeting this week in Helena looking for input on senior services in Montana.
Montana’s 2019-2022 Plan on Aging is in its development stages and those involved say they would like more input from seniors and caregivers.
Topics of interest include senior nutrition services, transportation, in-home services, and support for caregivers. Comments will be gathered from across Montana for the final plan.
“We work with the ten area agencies on aging throughout the state and they’re all having area plan meetings,” said Kerrie Reidelbach with Montana’s Office of Aging, “and so we’ll get all of that information as well, so we’re going to hear from you wherever you are if you participate and give some input. Those will all come together and that’ll be part of the development of the state plan.”
Helena’s public meeting for seniors and caregivers is this on January 23, at 9:30 a.m. and will be held at the Rocky Mountain Development Council Senior Center at 200 S. Cruse Avenue.
