Police investigating Butte stabbing incident

BUTTE –  Butte Undersheriff George Skuletich has confirmed that police are investigating a knife assault that left three people injured in the parking lot of an Uptown convenience store late Tuesday evening.

The incident occurred about 11:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the Town Pump on Montana Street.

A man got into a confrontation with two other men outside the store, pulled out a knife and cut two of the men.

The male store clerk, who came outside to break up the altercation, was also cut by the man with the knife, according to the undersheriff.

All of the victims were treated at St. James HealthCare for injuries they sustained as a result of the incident.

Police are still looking for the man with the knife suspected of injuring the three men.

BUTTE – Law enforcement is investigating a stabbing incident that left three people injured in Uptown Butte late Tuesday.

Not many details are known at this point, but law enforcement officials say more information will be released at the Wednesday morning press briefing.
