HELENA – The Montana Highway Patrol reports that nearly 30 people have died on our roadways since the beginning of June.
That’s almost one death a day for the entire month — and the MHP says those statistics make it the deadliest June in the last decade.

Authorities aren’t sure what caused the spike but they do note that the time between Memorial Day and Labor Day is known as the 100 Deadliest Days of Summer.
July is historically the deadliest month out on the road.
Troopers encourage folks to follow speed limits, buckle up, and don’t drink and drive.
