MISSOULA — The event is still a year-and-a-half away, but organizers of the Montana International Choral Festival are already starting to invite performers to come to Missoula.
And even though the pandemic will hopefully be a memory at that point, choirs are still being asked to show proof of coronavirus precautions.
The festival last filled venues across the Missoula Valley in 2019, with choirs from 11-countries invited to perform.
Fortunately last year, and this year's, pandemic didn't interrupt the festival planning.
Now, festival organizers have issued the call for applications for the next festival, set for July 2022. And the event is also looking for local hosts for the choirs, with the understanding that plans may still change between now, and next year.
All participating choirs will be required to provide proof of COVID vaccinations.
Applications and more information can be found at the event's website, choralfestival-dot-org.
