BUTTE — Butte’s movie theater located in the Butte Plaza Mall will reopen under new ownership in March.
Golden Ticket Cinemas will take over ownership of the Cinema 6 movie in the mall next month, according to a news release from Golden Ticket Cinemas.
AMC announced it was pulling out of the Butte mall last week and that its last day of operations would be Thursday.
Golden Ticket plans further upgrades to the theater, including new luxury reclining seats, an expanded food and beverage menu, upgraded sound as well as a fresh, new upscale look.
These upgrades are expected to be completed by November.
