People in Butte will be showing off their ice sculpting skills on Saturday.
The 19th annual Ice Sculpting Contest will take place in front of businesses throughout Uptown with up to 40 artists sculpting 300-pound blocks of ice.
“The contest really brings a vibe to Uptown, gets people walking around, stopping in shops, but it also gives an opportunity for people to be creative. Some people have never carved before, there's no experience necessary,” said event organizer Corey Gransbery
The event will run from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., and winners will be chosen later.
