HELENA — Gov. Greg Gianforte will welcome home the Montana National Guard soldiers who assisted in the security of the recent inauguration in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday.
The soldiers will arrive in Helena on four separate Montana Air National Guard C-130 Hercules aircraft from the 120th Airlift Wing to the Army Aviation Support Facility. The aircraft will begin arriving late Tuesday evening. All soldiers will be in Montana by Wednesday morning.
Upon arrival, the soldiers will be transported to Fort Harrison, where they will continue their demobilization processing and equipment turn-in before returning home. All soldiers will be screened for COVID-19 upon their arrival and will be following the Department of Defense and CDC guidelines.
