COVID-19 has changed the norm in our world. A man in Great Falls by the name of Darrell Miller is wanting to do his part by helping others. His idea was to create a service in town called Darrell's Mobile Oil Change Services.

We spoke with Darrell to see how he started this business and he says it was based on a need he saw in his community. "I had a lot of people come in and ask hey, are you guys doing oil changes, or can I have some work done on my vehicle? I felt bad telling them no, and one day I had a girl break down and cry because her vehicle was pretty bad, so I felt bad for her on that one."

He also tells us since COVID-19 happened, a lot of people had a need, and he wanted to help. "I work at a shop here in town, and they were closed during the COVID. So I just wanted to bring a mobile altering service to Great Falls because no one was able to get their oil change done."

He also explains how growing up and helping his dad with cars made him want to work in the the automotive industry: "I grew up with my dad changing all the time or working on vehicles period. And it's kind of grew on me. Kind of been in automotive my whole career so far."

His love for cars is not the only motivator behind wanting to get his business off the ground. "That's another big motivator - to be my own boss so I can be at home with my kid when we need to and just kind of extra income at the time, but eventually turn it into a full-time."

He also says if customers request a mask, he's more than happy to wear one. Miller says he comes to your house, grabs your keys, and then it takes him about 15-20 minutes for the process, and it's a relatively straightforward process. You can also call or make online appointments through his Facebook page.
