Lake County-CSKT update for cases in schools

Lake County and CSKT Tribal Health are following up on COVID-19 cases at St. Ignatius Middle and High Schools, K. William Harvey Elementary and Ronan Middle School.

Investigtions have been made and those in close contact have been placed under quarantine. However there is currently no signs that there is spread throughout the schools.

At Lake and CSKT Tribal Health positive COVID-19 test results are followed up with a case and issuing of isolation orders to those in close contact.

Afterwards being notified close contacts are put under a 14-day quarantine and given the option to be tested.

Lake County-CSKT said with schools re-opening of schools COVID-19 cases in school settings is to be expected. In preparation for that, conversations with school leadership have been ongoing since spring.

They ask for those in the community to be patient with the schools, clinics, hospitals and public/tribal health as they navigate through COVID-19
