Montana meat locker shows appreciation for veterans

Many people help veterans and one way is to provide them with healthy food.

The Montana Veterans Meat Locker passed out meat to veterans at the Adaptive Performance Center on Saturday.

Some of the meat comes from monetary donations and some comes from ranchers and hunters.

"This is a way that hunters and ranchers are thanking service men and women and their families," said Chris Grudzkinski, founder of the meat locker. "This isn't a handout. This is for them to say thank you. We want to provide this source of meat for you and your family. This is all passion. This is all continuing to serve and help others and those that serve, so this is us continuing to help each other."

The next Montana Veterans Meat Locker give away is scheduled for April 4 at Millers Horse Palace in Laurel.
