The Breakfast Club on Prospect Avenue in Helena recently opened for business.
Their specialty is hand-made burritos, scrambles, and biscuits and gravy. All of their specialty burritos on the menu are named after the characters in the iconic 80s film “The Breakfast Club.”
Justin Crippen, owner of the original Breakfast Club in Missoula and the Staggering Ox since 1993, said the most popular order is the “Athlete” which comes with ham, sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, cheese and salsa.
Crippen told MTN that they use local vendors whenever possible, like getting their fresh produce from Butte Produce.
“We are fast, but it's also, we make quality food. We cut up our vegetables here, you know, in house...we make all of our own sauces. We make our biscuits and gravy here every morning, fresh. So, you know we do it all here. You can have it your way, anyway you like,” said Crippen.
“I think that's the most important thing when you talk about The Breakfast Club, the food is high-end. We are a high-end, burrito place,” he continued.
The menu is designed for everyone and anyone with customizations for people who are dairy, gluten and meat free. “That’s one thing—we have no toast, toasters, or microwaves here,” Crippen laughed.
The club is open 6 a.m. until 2 p.m. Monday-Friday and opens at 7 a.m. on the weekends. It's located at 1500 Prospect Avenue; click here to visit the Facebook page .
