HELENA — The Montana Missing Indigenous Persons Task Force held a meeting on Wednesday to provide an update on missing person cases.

According to the Missing Persons Specialist, 11 more people went missing since February 2020. As of July 20, 2020, out of 159 people missing, 41 of those are Native Americans.

The Task Force is currently working on providing a website with a notification form. This form can be used to report missing individuals.

Overall, the goal of the website and form is to collect more accurate data to help those in reservations.

The Task Force hopes to officially launch its website in the next coming months. Their next meeting to speak more about is scheduled for Aug. 13.
