Mountain lion spotted near MSU-Billings campus

University police were unable to locate the animal

A mountain lion was spotted north of the P.E. building on the Montana State University-Billings campus Wednesday at 7:10 a.m., according to a MSUB press release.

According to the release: "The mountain lion was headed towards upper Mountain View Blvd. University Police checked the area but was unable to locate it."

Mountain lions were also spotted near the MSUB campus Jul. 12 and Jul. 25.

Precautions should be taken with any outdoor activities, and especially with children and small pets during morning and nighttime hours, the release stated.
