BOZEMAN — During this time with the coronavirus outbreak, most people are just trying to stay healthy, but it's even more important when you're dealing with a group of older residents, who are more at risk of having more severe complications from the virus.
It's been a huge adjustment for everyone. MTN News spoke with the executive director at a senior assisted-living facility, who says these last few weeks have been challenging, but his residents are dealing with it.
“I think it's affected my residents as it's affected all of us," said Stephen Beaudoin, Highgate Senior Living's executive director. “I was visiting with one of my residents, Jim, last week and people are taking it differently. I said 'Jim, how are you holding up' and he held up his Kindle and said 'I have 2,500 books on this Kindle. I'm built for it, Steve'. So, people are handling it differently.”
Beaudion also said letters, cards and paintings have meant a lot to the residents, especially during this time.
