"They can now carry all of their hunting licenses on one mobile device. Which makes things really simple for these families and helps them keep things organized and have all their required licenses in one place," said Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks spokesman Morgan Jacobsen.

The MyFWP app provides access to all hunting, fishing and conservation licenses, plus tags can be downloaded as well.

The app works even without cell service, as long as licenses are downloaded while in service areas.

"It's a free mobile app that allows people to carry their hunting licenses digitally throughout the year and as long as you download them while you're in service then you can use that app and you can validate your licenses whether or not you're in cell coverage and so it's a really convenient way to carry your licenses most of us we're carrying our cellphones with us all the time anyway and so this is just a way to simplify that process," said Jacobsen.

Jacobsen notes that the person who filled the tag will still need to validate it, but this allows parents to carry that tag until it's needed.
