HARDIN — An investigation is underway after a pedestrian was struck and killed between Hardin and Crow Agency on the evening of Nov. 29.

More than a week later, no arrests have been made after Jeremy Eastman, 32 of Hardin, was found deceased along River Road A in Big Horn County.

The incident was reported to the Montana Highway Patrol at 10:53 p.m. on Nov. 29, 2020.

The patrol’s narrative states a pedestrian was walking in the roadway and was struck from behind by an unknown vehicle.

FBI spokeswoman Sandra Barker confirmed the agency was notified of a dead body on the Crow Indian Reservation on Nov. 29, but could not confirm the victim’s name.

Barker said the FBI and BIA are conducting a joint death investigation and no further information will be released at this time.

Friends and family of Eastman, who also went by the nickname of “Squish,” have shared a social media post, asking anyone with information regarding his “last hours and untimely death please contact law enforcement and/or his family."

Tips can be reported to the FBI Salt Lake City office at (801) 579-1400 or the BIA at (406) 638-2631.
