BILLINGS - Relay for Life of Yellowstone County has announced the final fundraising number for their 2020 event: $490,000, coming in just shy of their $500,000 goal.
The good news is that $490,000 is a great number to have been raised in the battle against cancer and folks can still donate through the month of August. There is a very good chance that by the end of the summer Relay's $500,000 goal for the American Cancer Society will be met or exceeded.
“Relay for Life of Yellowstone would like to sincerely thank each and every person who contributed to the success of relay this year and our efforts to fund life-saving cancer research and help Montana cancer patients,” said Relay for Life of Yellowstone Event Co-Chair Lori Helmey.
“Cancer doesn’t stop and neither did relay this year. It is incredible to look back on all that this amazing community has accomplished this year. Thank you from the bottom of my heart,” said Relay for Life of Yellowstone Event Co-Chair Dave Worstell.
This year’s event was complete with 76 teams, 66 business community sponsors, more than 100 volunteers and countless community individuals who contributed to the total amount raised.
Q2 is a proud sponsor of Relay for Life of Yellowstone County, which is always the second Friday in July. Mark your calendars for July 9, 2021.
