MISSOULA — Missoula County Public School’s Physical Therapist, Robin Bonner, is this week’s One Class at a Time grant winner.

Republic Services Municipal Manager, Chad Bauer, and KPAX-TV General Manager, Bob Hermes presented Bonner with a $250 check which she will use to buy equipment for her student’s exercise room.

Bonner says the equipment will be geared towards children who can’t stand yet or walk on their own. She is looking at getting a bar that will allow students to work on their standing skills. Bonner told MTN it’s important for preschool students to be able to play, and help build those skills.

“The equipment that I want to get will be things that will help them work on their balance, their coordination, their stamina so that they can not only build these skills to reach developmental milestones, but also learn how to play more effectively and safely with their friends at school,” Bonner said.
