FLORENCE – A woman had to be extricated from her vehicle after crashing into a tree in Florence on Thursday morning.
The Montana Highway Patrol reports that the 23-year-old woman went off the road near the intersection of Long Avenue and US Highway 93 South and hit a tree at 8:35.
Her vehicle then flipped over, pinning the woman’s ankle. The Florence Volunteer Fire Dep
artment had to cut away the roof of the vehicle to free her.
MHP is investigating whether a medical condition may have played a role in the accident. The victim was taken to St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula by ambulance.
The woman had non life threatening injuries and was conscious at the time she was transported.
