Now less than a month away from the presidential election, undecided voters may find themselves being pulled in one direction or another. For a group in Stevensville, there’s no better way to get people on board the Trump train like a parade.
“Stand Together for Freedom,” a liberty-minded group in the Bitterroot, paraded from Stevensville to Hamilton and back on Sunday, sporting their Trump flags and honking their horns.
Members of the group said it’s their goal to maintain the constitution and the laws that built our nation, but they’re also just trying to provoke action and get people involved in the political process.
The parade garnered a positive response by most, and ended with a pot luck.
In the coming weeks the group plans to organize more of these events to spread their message.
“We believe that the United States is a gift from God, and the principles, if we stick to them, will make us prosper and thrive,” said group member Alan Lackey. “We’re drifting away from that, and as you know, our country is divided more than I’ve ever seen in my life, and we’re just trying to remind people that we are one nation. The flag represents that, and represents the principles that made us one nation under God, and a very prosperous one at that.”
