UPDATE: Victim killed in crash near Philipsburg ID'd

PHILIPSBURG - Authorities have released the name of a the victim who died in a Sunday afternoon crash on Flint Creek Pass near Anaconda.

Granite County Sheriff Scott Dunkerson says that Arian Flanders, 31, of Anaconda died as a result of blunt force trauma from the two vehicle accident.

One person died in a Sunday afternoon crash near Philipsburg.

Granite County Sheriff Scott Dunkerson says the accident happened at approximately 4:25 p.m. on Montana Highway 1 at Flint Creek Pass.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene and three other people were flown to area hospitals for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

Alcohol may have been a contributing factor in the crash, according to Sheriff Dunkerson.

The Granite County Sheriff’s Office and the Montana Highway Patrol are investigating the accident.
