MISSOULA – There’s more than 400 turkeys now in the Decker Truck Lines semi outside the Cherry Creek Media studios. But there’s still plenty of room for your donations as the Guerrilla Turkey Drive, sponsored by Cherry Creek and KPAX-TV rolls toward the end of the week.
Tom Lowery was among those bringing by turkeys Wednesday morning, showing up with 10 birds, proudly wearing his Griz jersey and receiving our last pair of Cat-Griz tickets for the big game this weekend.
He’s just one of a growing list of people who are pitching it to help the hungry for Thanksgiving.
There’s still a couple of days to drop off your turkeys, donations of non-perishable food items and cash at the Cherry Creek studios at 1600 North Avenue through the close of business on Friday. Then those donations will be distributed to area food banks and pantries.
