MISSOULA — We are learning more information about a weekend fatal accident in the Mission Valley that left a 26-year-old Ronan man dead.
The Montana Highway Patrol reports that on Sunday at 4:20 a.m. the victim was in the southbound lane of US Highway 93 near mile marker 51 in the Pablo area for unknown reasons.
A 56-year-old woman from Polson was driving along the right side of the southbound lane when she then struck the victim with the front passenger corner and windshield of her car.
The victim was then transported to St. Luke’s Hospital in Ronan where he died from his injuries. The driver of the vehicle was uninjured was taken to the hospital for further investigation.
Alcohol was listed as being suspected as playing a role in the incident and the MHP is continuing to investigate.
