HAMILTON — Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital is adjusting its visitor policies in response to the latest uptick in COVID-19 cases.
The hospital had been following continuing protocols since the pandemic began, with temperature checks and screenings at entrances, but initial limits on visitations.
Now that community spread has been reported in Ravalli County, Marcus Day is making more adjustments, balancing safety with the roll visitors can play in healing. For Inpatient, Outpatient, the hospital clinics and the ER, one visitor or support patient will be allowed at a time, with partners and children allowed in maternity wards.
Special requirements will be used for visitors for high-risk patients. And the hospital is also using a different structure for end-of-life patients.
