UPDATE: Power restored in Mineral County

A string of outages hit Superior, St. Regis and Alberton

MISSOULA — NorthWestern Energy reports that the power outage in Mineral County has been resolved.

Utility spokeswoman JoDee Black says about 575 were without power, including Missoula Electric Cooperative members.

NorthWestern Energy service crews are on the scene of string power outages in Mineral County.

The Friday morning outage is impacting customers in the Superior, St. Regis and Alberton areas.

Utility spokeswoman JoDee Black says about 575 customers are without power.

The cause of the outage is unknown at this time.

Black says because of the potential for fire conditions, crews are being very cautious in reenergizing any lines until they find the problem.

Missoula Electric Cooperative also state in a social media post that members along I-90 between Huson and Superior were also without power.
