POLSON — A Polson School District official has confirmed to MTN News that Polson Superintendent Rex Weltz has submitted papers for resignation pending school board approval.
A school district official said Weltz has accepted an administrative position with Helena Public Schools.
Polson schools will hold a special board meeting Friday at noon discussing his resignation.
Weltz has worked for the Polson School District since 2012, starting as the Polson High School principal.
