MISSOULA — The University of Montana athletic department confirmed on Tuesday that there are student-athletes in quarantine and isolation after a recent number of positive COVID-19 cases were identified on campus.

The athletic department has closed the Washington-Grizzly Champions Center for proper sanitation, with plans to reopen it on Thursday.

UM athletic director Kent Haslam did not specify which sports the athletes were members of.

The Missoula Health Department is now releasing the University of Montana COVID-19 case numbers every Wednesday.
