SUN PRAIRIE — Emergency crews responded to a fire in Sun Prairie on Thursday afternoon.
Initial reports indicate the fire began on a porch and quickly spread to the adjoining home on Cleveland Drive.
The fire spread very quickly due in part to the very gusty winds.
Ken Hanks, assistant fire chief for Vaughn, said that the fire resulted in "total loss of a single wide trailer with an addition built on."
There were no reports of injuries to any people, but we confirmed that one dog died, and three others remain unaccounted for at this time.
The fire was completely contained by 4:30 p.m.
There is no word at this point of the cause of the fire, nor the amount of damage.
Responding fire departments included Vaughn, Gore Hill, Sun River, Montana Air National Guard, Manchester, Sun Prairie, and Black Eagle.
