MISSSOULA – Deteriorating weather conditions are prompting officials in Missoula and Ravalli counties to warn motorists to stay off the road, if possible
The Missoula County Sheriff’s Office and Office of Emergency Management has issued a MEANS alert Monday urging drivers to avoid roadway travel unless absolutely necessary.
They said that blowing and drifting snow have made driving conditions hazardous throughout Missoula County and that some roads may be rendered impassable.
If you must drive, they urged motorists to use extreme caution and to plan accordingly.
Multiple roads closed down in Missoula County on Monday evening until plow crews had a chance to make progress on accumulating snow.
