MISSOULA – People who want to take in full splendor and celebration of Independence Day have a lot to choose from this year.
Below is a list of some of the events planned to mark the July 4th holiday across the region.
Missoula County
MISSOULA – Missoula’s Southgate Mall will be holding Fourth Fest on Independence Day. The free family event starts at 6 p.m. with live music, local food trucks, and kids activities. The fireworks show will begin around 10:30 p.m. Click here for more info.
MISSOULA – The 42nd annual, old-fashioned, 4th of July celebration will take place from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. on July 4 at The Historical Museum at Fort Missoula. The festivities will begin with a pancake breakfast. There will also be music and family-friendly activities. Click here for more info.
SEELEY LAKE – The annual 4th of July Celebration begins at 7 a.m. in Seeley Lake and includes a pancake breakfast, the annual parade and a fireworks display on Seeley Lake at 10:30 p.m.
CONDON – The 4th of July Annual Celebration will take place on Thursday at the Condon Community Hall and the Swan Valley Museum. The events begin at 8 a.m. with the parade stepping off at 11 a.m. There will also be free burgers, hot dogs and drinks at the concession stand. Flathead County
KALISPELL – The Independence Day parade will begin on July 4 at 10 a.m. in downtown Kalispell.
WHITEFISH – The Whitefish Chamber of Commerce presents the annual July 4th fireworks display from Whitefish Lake on Thursday. The event takes place shortly after dusk and can be viewed from the Whitefish City Beach. Click here for more info.
BIGFORK – The annual Bigfork 4th of July parade will take place on July 4 beginning at 12 p.m. There will also be music and the popular rubber duck race will take place. No cars allowed in downtown Bigfork after 8 a.m. on the 4th. Parking is available at the intersection of Highway 35 and Highway 82, with shuttles to downtown. Click here for more info.
Ravalli County
HAMILTON – A Stars and Stripes 5K will take place on July 4 from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the dog park. A fireworks show is set to take place at the Ravalli County Fairgrounds.
STEVENSVILLE – Stevensville’s Pignick will take place on July 4. A roast pig will be supplied and all the rest potluck with your friends and neighbors at Lewis and Clark Park. FLORENCE – The Florence Volunteer Fire Department is hosting their annual July 4th community potluck dinner and fireworks show on Thursday, July 4, beginning at 5 p.m. Starting at approximately 10:15 pm, there will be a free aerial fireworks show. The event — which is free and open to the public will be held in the Florence Community Park.
Lake County
POLSON – The 2019 Main Street Polson 4th of July Parade will begin at 12 p.m. on July 4. Line up for parade floats begins at 10:30 a.m. at Cherry Valley School. This year’s theme is “1909 to 2019 – Celebrating 110 years of Growth.” The fireworks show will begin at dusk and the best place to watch is Riverside Park.
ARLEE – The 121st Arlee Celebration will take place from July 2 until July 7th at the Pow Wow Grounds in Arlee. There will be over 50 arts and crafts tables set up as well as food vendors. Click here for more info.
Mineral County
ST. REGIS – The town of St. Regis will be holding Independence Day festivities all day on July 4th beginning with a free pancake breakfast at 8 a.m. Donations will be accepted during the breakfast. A parade through town starts at 11 a.m. and a fireworks show after the sun sets to cap off the day. Click here for more info.

OVANDO – “The Biggest Taste of Old Time Americana, by the Smallest Old Town” celebration will take place in Ovando on July 4. There will be a parade and a BBQ of hamburgers and hot dogs.
