BILLINGS - A section of Interstate 94 between Billings and the North Dakota state line remains closed as of Wednesday morning.
The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) reports the freeway is expected to reopen sometime on Wednesday "after maintenance staff can clear the road."
I-94 was closed on Tuesday afternoon due to extremely heavy snowfall.

Interstate 94 is closed Tuesday afternoon from Billings to the Montana / North Dakota state line due to extremely heavy snowfall.
The Montana Highway Patrol reports the closure went into effect at 4 p.m. on Tuesday.
MHP asks motorists to not attempt to drive on the Interstate.
