BILLINGS – A winter storm with more punch than expected will dump over 6″ of snow in Billings on Monday.
The National Weather Service issued a Winter Storm Warning for Yellowstone and eastern Carbon counties until 8 p. m. Monday evening.
Plan on slippery road conditions with reduced visibility.
Billings police are advising to stay off roads if possible. They report severe ice conditions are forming on city streets and many hills in town are proving impassable for vehicle travel.
The city snowplows are out and will continue to plow throughout the day.
