MISSOULA — Blue skies continue to dominate our forecast in Western Montana on this Tuesday afternoon and evening.

A warming trend also continues through Thursday.

Tonight we will drop down in the mid to upper 40s.

Wednesday afternoon we warm quickly to the low 80s!

Sunshine and blue skies remain in the forecast through Thursday which will be our warmest day of the week.

Thursday’s highs top out in the upper 80s and low 90s.

As our ridge starts to break down Thursday night and Friday morning, changes move into the forecast.

We are tracking a trough and cold front pushing in during the early morning hours of Friday.

This will bring cooler weather to the forecast and also stir up some shower chances.

A few spotty showers are possible in the northwest Friday through Sunday.

Between showers expect plenty of sunshine.

The southwest will not be as impacted by this rain chances, but highs will still take a drop for the weekend.

We will all be dropping to the mid to low 80s Friday and Saturday and low 80s upper 70s on Monday.

Warm and dry air return to the forecast by midweek next week, so we will be seeing an increase in fire-danger especially from human-caused fires.
