MISSOULA — Cloud cover will stick around Friday night, but our snow chances diminish through Saturday morning.

The main concern from today’s snowfall will be slushy and wet roads refreezing overnight.

Passes and upper elevation valleys that became slushy under warmer weather this afternoon will likely become icy again tonight as lows drop to the 20s.

Clouds start parting ways on Saturday afternoon, and highs return to the upper 30s and low 40.

Warmer weather and mostly dry conditions take us through the weekend.

By late Sunday night/early Monday morning, more rain and snow chances return for the northwest.

By Tuesday, widespread moisture will be in the forecast.

Highs Tuesday remain in the upper 30s and low 40s under this warmer stretch, so rain will fall in valleys through the afternoon with wintry mix expected in the morning and evening.

Rain and snow chances remain in our forecast with this stretch of warmer weather, and these upper 30s and 40s are expected to stick around until midweek next week.

Cooler air looks to make a comeback by the end of the week.
