Weather Forecast: Pretty quiet weekend ahead

MISSOULA — High pressure in the region will keep our weather pattern pretty quiet this weekend in the northern Rockies.

The exception will be a quick passing system to our north which could pop a few snow showers for those closest to the Canadian border overnight and into early Saturday.

Expect some patchy, morning fog with otherwise partly to mostly sunny skies and highs in the upper 30s to mid-40s this weekend, though.

As of now, it looks like we'll return to a more active, cold, and wet weather pattern going into the first half of next week.

Expect a little mountain snow Monday into Tuesday with highs in the mid-30s to low 40s.

A stronger cold front looks to cross north-central Idaho and western Montana on Wednesday.

The threat for strong winds and increased valley and mountain precipitation is likely, so stay tuned!
