MISSOULA — Thursday is shaping up to be a very nice day across the northern Rockies. Expect sunny skies overhead with highs in the low to upper 30s.

A weak system will bring another round of mountain snow and valley rain/snow Friday afternoon and evening.

Very little impacts are expected in the valleys with a couple of inches possible in the mountains.

Saturday will be a pretty nice day, especially in the afternoon with a good mix of sun and clouds and highs in the upper 30s to low 40s.

Another system will move in Sunday. This will produce another round of mountain snow and valley rain/snow. The highs Sunday will remain in the upper 30s to low 40s.

Looking at next week, a change to our weather pattern will start to develop. High temperatures will be in the mid to upper 30s Monday - Wednesday.

By Thursday, models are in good agreement of cold arctic air moving south out of Canada. This looks to drop high temperatures into the 20s and low 30s to end next week.

Stay tuned for details on this potential pattern change as we move through the weekend and into next week.
