MISSOULA — Not nearly as widespread as yesterday, but scattered mountain snow and valley rain will remain in the forecast today. Breezy winds can be expected as well with gusts around 20-30 mph. High temperatures Wednesday will top out in the 40s to low 50s.

Thursday looks to be an overall nice day with mostly to partly sunny skies. Temperatures do look to remain below seasonal normal once again topping out in the 40s to low 50s.

Friday will start out nice with temperatures reaching the middle to upper 50s for highs. By the afternoon, our next weather system will begin moving into the region bringing another round of valley rain and mountain snow late in the day Friday.

The overall trend for the weekend is featuring below-average temperatures and above-average precipitation. Saturday will again see temperatures in the 40s to low 50s.

Models are then showing the coldest air moving in Sunday and Monday where highs may struggle to get out of the 30s and 40s.

Also, something of note, valleys may see some of their first snow this season by Sunday and Monday with lows dropping into the teens and twenties.

We will continue to monitor this and bring updates as we move closer toward the weekend.
