MISSOULA — Scattered rain showers will again be in the forecast Thursday morning. The most widespread shower activity will be found in northwest Montana. Expect breezy winds for your Thursday as well with gusts around 20-30 mph. A Lake Wind Advisory is in place for Flathead Lake through 6 pm tonight. Waves of 1-3 ft. along with wind gusts of 35 mph can be expected through the day.
Scattered rain showers remain in the forecast Friday and Saturday. Expect another breezy and cool day Friday with gusts of 20-25 mph possible. High temperatures will be in the low to middle 50's Friday and 50's to low 60's Saturday.
High pressure will start to build in next week, however, there is still uncertainty with the models on exactly how strong this high will be. Confidence is not great on specific details, however, the over all pattern shows a general warming trend into the 60's and low 70's by the start of next week. A few showers also look possible as a weak system moves through Tuesday into Wednesday.
By the end of next week, models start to come into better agreement for warm and dry weather. As high pressure continues to build temperatures look to be in the 70's to possibly even low 80's by next weekend. More details to come on this as we move into next week.
