MISSOULA — An unstable atmosphere will lead to scattered showers both Tuesday and Wednesday.
The heaviest showers along with gusty winds will occur during the afternoon with a mix of rain/graupel/snow in the valleys. Passes may see occasional road impacts as brief heavy showers move through. Highs will top out slightly below normal in the low to middle 40's.
An overall dry day is expected Thursday with a mix of sun and clouds and temperatures in the 40's.
Our unstable atmosphere returns Friday and continues into the weekend. This will lead to more scattered afternoon showers, breezy winds and slightly below normal temperatures. Mountain passes will have the best chance to see occasional snow covered roads, however, overall impacts appear to be minor.
